Chaperone Policy

All of our patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation or examination with a Clinician.

A chaperone could be a family member or a friend.  All our staff are also fully trained chaperones and can also be present if you request.

If you would like a trained member of staff to be your chaperone for your appointment we would be grateful if you if you could request this at the time of booking your appointment so arrangements can be made.  This will also ensure that your appointment is not delayed.   If it is not possible for a trained staff member to be available for your appointment it may be necessary to reschedule your appointment.  We will always endeavour to arrange a chaperone for you if requested.

A Clinician may also require a chaperone to be present for certain consultation and this is in accordance with our chaperone Policy
